FloodPredictor.ie ("the Service") is operated by Flood Predictor Ltd, an Irish company. It provides probability-based flood risk forecasts derived from OPW river gauge telemetry, Open-Meteo weather data, and Irish soil moisture grids. The Service is provided for information and planning purposes only.
Flood predictions are probabilistic estimates based on available data. They are not guaranteed to be accurate. Flooding may occur without prediction, or predictions may be issued when no flooding results. Do not rely solely on this Service for life-safety decisions. Always follow official guidance from Met Éireann, OPW Flood Forecasting, and local emergency services.
Free accounts provide access to basic risk summaries. Personal and Business tiers are available by paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable except as required by Irish consumer law. You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the billing period.
OPW gauge data is published under the Open Government Licence. Weather data is sourced from Open-Meteo under their open data terms. All software, design, models, and content created by Flood Predictor Ltd remain the property of Flood Predictor Ltd.
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, Flood Predictor Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage (including property damage, business interruption, or personal injury) arising from use of or reliance on the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
